Welcome to Local Logic Place

Local Logic Place has grown out of two women’s commitment to providing locally appropriate community development and respectful and reflective project support and management.

Rachael and Lisa had seen many ‘fly by night’ consultation efforts, the template style ‘community needs’ analysis reports and the manner in which communities, grappling with jargon and project expectations, were short-changed in the community development process. These communities were ultimately left with little more than a one size fits all programme or project that scantly reflected their needs.

So, being local to the region, possessing a broad range of complimentary skills and a commitment to giving something back to the communities that had nurtured them, they decided to establish Local Logic Place. A consultancy committed to providing a service that supports communities and groups through each phase of reaching their agreed goals. Acknowledging that sometimes this may be actually discovering what their goals even are.

Lisa and Rachael believe that the work they do through Local Logic Place requires a strong presence in the community and a collaborative partnering approach based on trust and understanding. To ensure this they are based in the Swan Hill area and so are available to speak to organisations and groups in person, exploring how Local Logic Place services can be tailored to fit with community needs. The result is each community or group’s complete ownership of their project and Local Logic Place’s total commitment to achieving the best possible result for them.
