an organised and professional organisation makes any project planning
easier. Local Logic Place has demonstrated their ability to be flexible

with such a variety of community people, young and old, and Local Logic

Step Out, Aspire & Reflect (SOAR) with Support Women's Leadership Program
Project Title: Step Out, Aspire & Reflect (SOAR)
with Support Women's Leadership Program Client Name:
Australian Women in Agriculture (AWIA) & Swan Hill Business and Professional
Women
Project Timeline: July 2008-June 2009
Project Aim: The SOAR with Support Project will allow
women who are not actively involved in their communities to develop personally
as well as give something back to their communities especially during
a time of prolonged drought. SOAR offers leadership training and experiences
in a supportive, encouraging and non-threatening environment. On completion
of the SOAR Program participants will have increased knowledge of community
development practices, local services and supports, rural leadership opportunities
and a greater overall self awareness, personal support networks, capacity
and confidence. It is the aim of the consortium through the implementation
of the SOAR with Support Project to continuously and progressively move
the Swan Hill region along with our NSW neighbours towards a level of
equality in agriculture and related industries not yet witnessed in rural
or urban Australia.
Our Role: Local Logic Place has been engaged to work
closely with the auspicing body: Australian Women in Agriculture and BPW.
With their demonstrated experience working with women on farms, indigenous
women and women from economically and socially disadvantaged backgrounds
they are ideally placed to coordinate the SOAR Program delivery locally.
Local Logic Place will support the SOAR with Support Women's Leadership
Program by providing project set-up and design, creation of an evaluation
framework and the overall coordination of the project, working closely
with the Program Management Group to ensure their vision for the project
is realised.
